June was filled with exciting news, great events and many successes. One of the highlights include two charity events we took part in. Overall we raised £250, which we proudly donated to the chosen charities.
Cupcake Day is an annual event organised by Alzheimer’s Society. The charity’s mission is to support those affected by dementia and raise awareness about this unfortunate condition. Cake makers and eaters nationwide take part in Cupcake Day each year, to raise awareness, collect donations and, obviously, eat cake.
We all loved the idea of eating cake to support such a great cause and Cupcake Day will definitely return to Sourced HQ next year.
After eating so much cake we went to burn all the calories at the Heaton Park Run in Manchester. We were supporting Maggie Harvey Trust, a charity raising funds for Brain Tumour Research. We were extremely proud to support such a great cause and we will definitely do it again.
